I would really like to be able to replace those picts with real LaTeX-generated annotations instead. I also do copy paste of the LaTeXiT outputs as picts that I place on to Igor Pro graphs. I use this toolset extensively to generate math equations for my lecture slides in Curio. Accents are used to denote six distinctive tones: level ( ngang ), acute-angry ( sc ), grave-lowering ( huyn ), smooth-rising hi, chesty-raised ( ngã ), and chesty-heavy ( nng ). By primary example, I think of LaTeXiT with LinkBack on a Mac. But, that could run afoul of the internals I might guess, primarily because the return would likely be an image box (PNG, PDF, EPS. Perhaps a new prefex (\LTX) could serve as a switch for annotations and labels. IMHO, the best way to handle LaTeX would be to allow folks who have a LaTeX installation to ship out commands to their compiler engine. I can suggest some that others might find esoteric and vica-versa. The tilde can have a variety of meanings in different contexts, but as is made clear later in the paper, the tilde over the p is being used there to indicate an empirical probability function (rather than a theoretical model/population probability function) - that is, one made from the sample proportions of each of the symbols. Wow! I wonder if you may open the floodgates with the request for real life examples. Because it is a subset, I will need real life examples that Igor users would use in graph annotations and labels (as compared to writing a mathematical manuscript.) Wide-Angle Neutron Spin Echo Spectroscopyįor IP8, I have added support for a subset of LaTeX syntax.
